This top quality MIG bike has joined the MIG 2.0 and completed the all-mountain-riding line of the brand.
Designed for riders who love long rides, who care about their performance and about quality components, the MIG-R maintains the state-of-the-art geometrical features of THOK’s signature model, including: the TCG (THOK Control Geometry) with an elongated top tube, an open steering angle (66°) and a straight seat tube (74.7°), which provide riding comfort, traction and control over technically demanding trails; its very low centre of gravity, thanks to the “Low Gravity Centre” system, ensures maximum stability and handling; the TPS (THOK Progressive System) suspension system guarantees excellent traction and enables you to overcome even the most demanding obstacles; mullet wheels (with differentiated diameter: 27.5” front and 29” rear) that enhance its performance.
The rear of the bike was slightly redesigned to attach the fender.
There’s a lot of news when it comes to the components, for example the EP8 motor associated with the 630 Wh battery: a powerful SHIMANO drive unit with a more capable accumulator to take on large distances without having to worry about consumption. The EP8’s mapping for the MIG-R has been customised by THOK with two assistance profiles: the “long ride” is perfectly suited for long rides, the “fast ride” is more demanding, suitable for higher performing rides.
Pure all-mountain-riding with 150 mm rear travel and 140 mm front travel, FOX Rhythm 36 fork mount and 3-level Float DPS FOX shock (customised by the parent company for THOK MIG-R), SRAM Guide RE brake system with 4 pistons and 200 mm discs made specifically for eMTBs.
To optimise its brake effectiveness, the MIG-R has adopted the “THOK Disk Mount”, i.e. the brake calliper mounted directly on the frame without an adaptor being necessary.
As its derailleur we chose the 12-speed SRAM - GX Eagle with 10-52 cassette, along with Mavic rims and MAXXIS Assegai tyres with EXO+ carcass.
The MIG-R’s livery was selected by the public among 6 different options. The colouring chosen was designed by Aldo Drudi, a true icon of Italian Style.
All our MIG-R bikes are customised with their owner’s name, with setting parameters for tyre pressure and suspensions and delivered along with the THOKcare set.
Thanks to THOK’s revolutionary 2-year warranty covering the bike (not the owner), the shipping costs are included in the price of the bike, which in turn also includes the THOKer Box (water bottle, bottle cage, suspension pump, multitool, spare dropout and other brand items).
