Quality material, as well as the Gram’s lay-up and design have been devised and developed by THOK to be combined with very efficient geometries that ensure a perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity.

The unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibres (UD Carbon) allows them to be excluded in areas where they are not needed because they are not used. This means more thickness at the points of maximum stress, less thickness where it is not needed. This ensures the Gram’s absolute endurance for Enduro use, maximum lightness, and at the same time extraordinary rigidity and riding comfort.

The Gram frame includes “high-resistance” carbon (more resistant, less rigid) and “high-modulus” carbon (more rigid, less resistant). Their balance in the distribution within the frame has been assessed through the use of FEM tests: angles, curves and junction points have been reinforced to ensure maximum resistance and flexibility: the motor area, head tube and rear stays are extremely rigid.

The Gram is a true “Full Carbon”. All the pads on the frame are positioned directly onto the carbon, without aluminium bushings. This provides greater rigidity and solves problems caused by friction and wear.

Angles are major players in frame design. Even a small degree difference will alter your pedalling and riding position, traction and riding precision, as well as safety and comfort. The Gram’s seat tube has been verticalised with a 78° angle to ensure maximum pedalling efficiency and extreme traction on climbs, as the rider’s weight is shifted forward (preventing bike wheelies). It has an open steering angle of 64°. This enables the bike to go over obstacles without stumbling (avoiding OTB-Over The Bar) and, thanks to the advanced off-set, makes the bike both easy to handle and stable.

The full carbon rear stays have asymmetrical rectangular lower chainstays with integrated cable routing. A frame construction masterpiece. This provides unprecedented rigidity, as well as maximum traction on climbs and extreme responsiveness when riding downhill.

The Gram’s innovative steering area features the Big Eye at its centre: simple and perfect magnificence. The BIG EYE is the beating heart of the Gram: it is one of the elements on which THOK’s research and development centre has focused the most. It decreases the load in the head tube area during use on very bumpy enduro trails, while still guaranteeing maximum rigidity and steering precision.

The Exagon down tube features a complex carbon system with multiple degrees of thickness. Its sharp ‘C’ shape, along with the Big Eye, helps disperse tension when used on very rough terrain. It is extremely verticalised to lower the centre of gravity and is home to the removable 630 Wh Shimano integrated battery.

A true E-Enduro force of nature, the Gram has a Viper Head Plus top tube with a headset recess. This provides a lowered position for the handlebar area and consequently a more forward position for the rider on the front end. In other words: maximum riding stability even in extreme E-Enduro sections. Thanks also to the reduced stand-over provided by the great inclination of the top tube, no climb will be impossible.
