A strong, firm and determined spirit. Gram is Piedmontese for “mean”. No matter how steep the downhill trails or rough the climbs may be, the Gram will take on any trail with grit, reaching all summits and dominating every slope.

Quality material, as well as the Gram’s lay-up and design have been devised and developed by THOK to be combined with very efficient geometries that ensure a perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity.

The unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibres (UD Carbon) allows them to be excluded in areas where they are not needed because they are not used. This means more thickness at the points of maximum stress, less thickness where it is not needed. This ensures the Gram’s absolute endurance for Enduro use, maximum lightness, and at the same time extraordinary rigidity and riding comfort.

The Gram frame includes “high-resistance” carbon (more resistant, less rigid) and “high-modulus” carbon (more rigid, less resistant). Their balance in the distribution within the frame has been assessed through the use of FEM tests: angles, curves and junction points have been reinforced to ensure maximum resistance and flexibility: the motor area, head tube and rear stays are extremely rigid.

The Gram is a true “Full Carbon”. All the pads on the frame are positioned directly onto the carbon, without aluminium bushings. This provides greater rigidity and solves problems caused by friction and wear.

By using carbon, Gram did not need to make any structural compromises. Its geometry was developed with a “zero limits” mindset. New angles, new lines, new shapes, excellence. From riders for e-riders: the lines of the frame are the combination of all our know-how, our many years of experience as passionate riders, our pursuit of adventure and freedom. With the Gram you will ride on undreamed-of trails, Enduro will no longer have any limits.

Angles are major players in frame design. Even a small degree difference will alter your pedalling and riding position, traction and riding precision, as well as safety and comfort.

The Gram’s seat tube has been verticalised with a 78° angle to ensure maximum pedalling efficiency and extreme traction on climbs, as the rider’s weight is shifted forward (preventing bike wheelies).

It has an open steering angle of 64°. This enables the bike to go over obstacles without stumbling (avoiding OTB-Over The Bar) and, thanks to the advanced off-set, makes the bike both easy to handle and stable.

The full carbon rear stays have asymmetrical rectangular lower chainstays with integrated cable routing.

A frame construction masterpiece. This provides unprecedented rigidity, as well as maximum traction on climbs and extreme responsiveness when riding downhill.

The Gram’s innovative steering area features the Big Eye at its centre: simple and perfect magnificence. The BIG EYE is the beating heart of the Gram: it is one of the elements on which THOK’s research and development centre has focused the most.

It decreases the load in the head tube area during use on very bumpy enduro trails, while still guaranteeing maximum rigidity and steering precision.

The Exagon down tube features a complex carbon system with multiple degrees of thickness. Its sharp ‘C’ shape, along with the Big Eye, helps disperse tension when used on very rough terrain.

It is extremely verticalised to lower the centre of gravity and is home to the removable 630 Wh Shimano integrated battery.

A true E-Enduro force of nature, the Gram has a Viper Head Plus top tube with a headset recess.

This provides a lowered position for the handlebar area and consequently a more forward position for the rider on the front end.

In other words: maximum riding stability even in extreme E-Enduro sections. Thanks also to the reduced stand-over provided by the great inclination of the top tube, no climb will be impossible.

The new TPS-2 suspension system designed by THOK E-Bikes increases the progressivity of the kinematics and optimises its use in Enduro. The rear wheel travel is extremely progressive: it absorbs all types of obstacles when riding downhill and ensures maximum traction with climbs. The new full carbon rocker with symmetrical cushioning contributes to zero bending. The TPS-2 features polygonal seat-stay and asymmetrical one-piece chain-stay.

  • The progression of a motor is how it delivers assistance: Shimano does not have peaks. It feels like a well-trained leg.
  • How elastic a motor is is determined by the transition between the push and release phases: with Shimano it is constant and manageable
  • The Q factor (the distance between the cranks) of the EP8 motor is lower: pedalling is more natural.
  • The EP8 is one of the lightest and least bulky motors you can find; it has a small and intuitive display, it can be customised and store parameters
  • Shimano has one of the best structured assistance services in the world: always precise and responsive. The Shimano closed system (motor, battery, software) guarantees maximum efficiency when it comes to performance and consumption

Performance is the number one priority in every THOK project. The Gram is equipped with the closed Shimano EP8 system because it guarantees maximum efficiency when it comes to performance and consumption. Tests carried out by the in-house research department have proven this, here are the results:

  • the closed Shimano system, which includes drive unit, battery and software, not only ensures the best possible dialogue between the components but also facilitates troubleshooting thanks to the shared service
  • the 630 Wh capacity battery was found to be the most effective for THOK-style E-Enduro use: flying down breathtaking downhill sections after riding up all kinds of climbs. In fact, it ensures lightness (compared to larger capacity bikes) and better handling (thanks to smaller overall dimensions)
  • in general, the Gram’s frame geometry and kinematics perform best using the complete Shimano EP8 system with 630 Wh battery, especially when it comes to consumption

Designed in-house at THOK, it is the next-generation resin bike steering lock. It prevents damage to the carbon frame in the event of extra handlebar rotation.

The Gram’s integrated 630 Wh battery, at one with the high-density TPE cover, is easily removed with the use of a simple hexagonal spanner, and allows convenient recharging by separating it from the bike.

The two carbon ribs provide support for the engine area and bottom bracket, dissipating the pressure produced by use and preventing the frame from bending sideways. The rigidity produced by the T-Ribs, together with the distance of the bottom bracket from the ground, make the Gram’s pedalling action effective and continuous even in the roughest areas.

“Universal Derailleur Hanger” is the new dropout compatible with all drivetrain systems on the market. Easy to maintain and find, it protects the integrity of the drivetrain (by rotating backwards in the event of an impact), improves gearshift performance and prevents the chain from getting caught between the frame and the cassette.

Mullet wheels (i.e. with a differentiated diameter 29” front / 27.5” rear) in combination with the Gram geometry guarantee excellent handling, responsiveness, stability and make it easier to overcome obstacles.

All Gram cables are integrated into the frame. They run in the down tube through innovative plastic fabric “cable routing” and in the chain-stay through cable housings embedded in the carbon fibre. The aim is to protect them and facilitate maintenance.
