Quality material, lay-up and design have been devised and developed to be combined with very efficient geometries that ensure a perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity.

The unidirectional arrangement of the carbon fibres (UD Carbon) allows them to be excluded in areas where they are not needed because they are not used. This means more thickness at the points of maximum stress, less thickness where it is not needed. This ensures the Powerstage RR’s absolute endurance for Enduro use, maximum lightness, and at the same time extraordinary rigidity and riding comfort.

The Powerstage RR frame includes “high-resistance” carbon (more resistant, less rigid) and “high-modulus” carbon (more rigid, less resistant). Their balance in the distribution within the frame has been assessed through the use of FEM tests: angles, curves and junction points have been reinforced to ensure maximum resistance and flexibility: the motor area, head tube and rear stays are extremely rigid.

The Powerstage RR is a true “Full Carbon”. All the pads on the frame are positioned directly onto the carbon, without aluminium bushings. This provides greater rigidity and solves problems caused by friction and wear.

Angles are major players in frame design. Even a small degree difference will alter your pedalling and riding position, traction and riding precision, as well as safety and comfort.

The Powerstage RR’s seat tube has been verticalised with a 78° angle to ensure maximum pedalling efficiency and extreme traction on climbs, as the rider’s weight is shifted forward (preventing bike wheelies). It has an open steering angle of 64°.

This enables the bike to go over obstacles without stumbling (avoiding OTB-Over The Bar) and, thanks to the advanced off-set, makes the bike both easy to handle and stable.

The full carbon rear stays have asymmetrical rectangular lower chainstays with integrated cable routing. A frame construction masterpiece. This provides unprecedented rigidity, as well as maximum traction on climbs and extreme responsiveness when riding downhill.

The Powerstage RR’s innovative steering area features the Big Eye at its centre: simple and perfect magnificence. The BIG EYE is the beating heart of the Powerstage RR: it is one of the elements on which research and development centre has focused the most. It decreases the load in the head tube area during use on very bumpy enduro trails, while still guaranteeing maximum rigidity and steering precision.

The Exagon down tube features a complex carbon system with multiple degrees of thickness. Its sharp ‘C’ shape, along with the Big Eye, helps disperse tension when used on very rough terrain. It is extremely verticalised to lower the centre of gravity and is home to the removable 630 Wh Shimano integrated battery.

The Powerstage RR has Viper Head Plus top tube with lowered 1.8’ tapered head tube that accommodates specially designed FSA headset. This provides a lowered position for the handlebar area and consequently a more forward position for the rider on the front end. In other words: maximum riding stability even in extreme E-Enduro sections. Thanks also to the reduced stand-over provided by the great inclination of the top tube, no climb will be impossible.

The SRAM GX AXS rear derailleur ensures instant, precise and never out-of-time shifting in all conditions. The system is ‘wireless’ and is smart enough to protect itself from shocks, thanks to the incredibly strong overload clutch. Moreover, thanks to the Sram AXS app, you can set the controls and their functions according to your needs.

Simply the best available on the market, the result of all Öhlins’ experience in racing. Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air fork, with 38mm stanchions and 180mm travel. The fork’s recalibrated dual-piston, three-chamber air spring system allows for quick, easy and complete adjustment. The RXF38 m.2 benefits from a wide range of adjustments in rebound and compression, high and low speed.

Shock absorber: The Öhlins m.2 spring-mounted shock absorber with 170 mm travel uses the unique TTX technology tried and tested over many years in the motorbike sector and now applied to MTBs. Fully adjustable in rebound and compression, at high and low speeds.

A completely ‘made in Italy’ and CNC-machined braking system with Ducati customised levers that introduces a wide range of adjustments, allowing the brake to be adapted to different rider needs. The lever adjustment system acts independently from the hydraulic part, allowing to vary the force transmitted to the master cylinder and the contact point of the pads on the disc. The 203mm ‘wave’ discs are 3mm thick and have a design that allows better radial expansion of the disc in extreme heat.

Crankbrothers Syntesis in a differentiated format (29 ‘x31 mm front, 27.5 ’x35 mm rear) with variable thickness carbon rims are smoother and contribute to further improved steering precision, ensuring an exceptional weight/robustness ratio. The Pirelli tyres are very robust and feature a high-profile, well-spaced tread to cope with any challenging course.

The special Renthal carbon handlebar reduces vibrations and offers an extra degree of comfort.

T-STOPPER – Designed in-house at THOK, it is the next-generation resin bike steering lock. It prevents damage to the carbon frame in the event of extra handlebar rotation.

T-RIBS -The two carbon ribs provide support for the engine area and bottom bracket, dissipating the pressure produced by use and preventing the frame from bending sideways. The rigidity produced by the T-Ribs, together with the distance of the bottom bracket from the ground, make the Powerstage RR’s pedalling action effective and continuous even in the roughest areas.

UDH dropout – “Universal Derailleur Hanger” is the new dropout compatible with all drivetrain systems on the market. Easy to maintain and find, it protects the integrity of the drivetrain (by rotating backwards in the event of an impact), improves gearshift performance and prevents the chain from getting caught between the frame and the cassette.

Internal wiring – All Powerstage RR cables are integrated into the frame. They run in the down tube through innovative plastic fabric “cable routing” and in the chain-stay through cable housings embedded in the carbon fibre.
The aim is to protect them and facilitate maintenance.

The Powerstage RR’s integrated 630 Wh battery, at one with the high-density TPE cover, is easily removed with the use of a simple hexagonal spanner, and allows convenient recharging by separating it from the bike.
